Message My NA is paid off and has been for a while. I know every inch of that car. I know which parts are new and which need replacing. I had the car for a long time and it has been maintained impeccably. It's suspension and it's components, engine, 5 speed tranny, differential, inside and outside are in nearly mint condition. So when the time comes for a new engine $ 5000 into the car is nothing. That's what i would pay to roll off a dealers lot for a new car and then still have 5 years of payments, higher insurance etc to take care off. The average car between payments, interest and service costs about $6,000 - $8,000 annually to maintain. Mine costs me just the price of gas and wear and tear items.

So even if i rebuild the tranny, put in a new suspension, paint it, new TT engine and some new interior pieces it may come out to be $15,000.

Where in today's market can you get a car like this, with new mechanicals, paint etc.. for that much? To get a car of this quality you need about 40-50K in today's money. The z is a keeper.
